MARK HOWARD

Mark Howard is a painter and sculpture artist whose works of public art can be seen across Northeast Ohio. Originally from Newark, New Jersey, Mark Howard earned his BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art. Howard's commissioned public art works are found throughout Cleveland and a paper cutout silhouette is in the collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art. Mark Howard has exhibited internationally and was included in the Biennale Internazionale dell’ Arte Contemporanea, Florence, Italy, 2001.

Mark Howard has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Cleveland Arts Prize for 2025. A painter, sculptor, muralist and textile artist, Mark has brightened and energized public spaces like Cleveland Hopkins Airport and Cleveland’s Main Public Library, and is in public collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art, cARTa, Metro Hospital, Summa Hospital and Case Western Reserve University.
