This new body of work can be divided into three parts; works on paper, mounted canvas panels and two-sided painting, united by improvisational approaches to color, shape and pattern. Though I am primarily a painter, textiles loom over my background as a professional artist. I was a student at the Cleveland Institute of Art in the 1980's, majoring in painting and textile design. I still navigate through these styles with complete fascination.
